Installation of Antivirus software has become an absolute must in all scenarios, irrespective of the purpose of setting up a computer network. Step 1: Search for the application on the Internet. The most common way to find it is by typing its name in the Search Box in Google. It will take you to a list of the all the links where you can download the file for free. Go to any of the links and look for the ‘Download’ or ‘Install’ option to get the software on your system.

Step 2: Once you get the application, open it to go to its welcome screen. Click on ‘Next’ followed by ‘Continue’. Once you have read the terms and agreement of its usage, click on ‘Accept’. Then the program would check the system statistics.

Step 3: After the previous step, the application needs to be personalized. Choose the user name. The free version would already contain the license number in the application. You can change the install folder if you click on ‘Browse’ or by typing the name of the folder. Click on ‘Next’ to continue further. After that, all the components would be installed. Click on “next’. You can then choose your e-mail program. This step would ensure that any e-mail that you receive would be free from any viruses or infection. Click on ‘Next’ and then ‘Finish’ after reading the summary of the installation procedure.

Step 4: You would need to wait for the program finish installation, which may take approximately a minute. Once it is done, you would get the ‘Installation Complete’ prompt on the screen. Restarting the computer would be required. Click on OK.

Step 5: Click on the ‘Update’ button once the program restarts. This would make the download and installation procedure complete.

It must be made sure that the AVG 7.5 software is updated at least once every seven days to maintain proper check on any new virus. After all, prevention is better than cure.
